Swingin’ High & Low

Have you ever noticed how in God’s magnificent creation, All things respond to one another? In the last 30 days the weather has been swinging high and low and I have noticed how I too have been swingin’ high and low. And then I noticed not only me but, many others as well.  Another example: the Full Moon…it is a fact hospitals are busier, people and animals respond to the changing of the moon, the warmth of the sun, and the changing of the seasons. Just like the seasons, we go thru changes. Our emotions/moods are much  like turbulent weather there is a cause, a build up, then here it comes…BAMM.

Right now there is a Hurricane that is hitting Florida, may we all keep them in our prayers and if you are able to assist in some fashion, then by all means reach out. Hurricanes only form over really warm ocean water of 80°F or warmer. The atmosphere (the air) must cool off very quickly the higher you go. Also, the wind must be blowing in the same direction and at the same speed to force air upward from the ocean surface.  And did you know our bodies are made of about 60% water? Like a hurricane many of our emotions work the same way. Swingin’ High and Low out over the deep of our minds and hearts for awhile.  When warmed up to a certain degree, most attempt to find a way to cool down or shove it down,  an inner wind begins blowing the matter out of proportion, then we talk to others and if they are blowing the same words (winds) from their mouths our anxiety, anger, frustration picks up speed forcing the thoughts upward and out onto the surface….BAMMM…we go off.  It is that 40% within our cells, which I believe is where out spirit lies, that can, if we choose Stop or slow the force of the storm within. Yes, I said our spirit lies in that 40%. Why do I not say 100%? Think about it, are you 100% one in the Spirit? What percentage of your life are you committed to walking in the fullness of His Spirit of Love? What % is responding to the world around you? When situations warm up and winds are blowing your way, how are you responding? Do you listen to the still small voice of the Spirit? Or do you allow yourself to heat up and when the wind blows stronger get caught up in the highs and lows building, building till it all comes to the surface? If your percentage is higher, Hallelujah I am truly happy for you. In my experiences and from what I see most are in that 40% or below level.  I am not saying that from a place of judgment only from my experiences and what I have seen.

The difference in us and the weather, we Can, through our choices calm the storm blowing within us. At times we are in an uphill journey where our energies often seem almost spent. But, if we will but, hold onto God’s hand, seek His wisdom and knowledge we Can keep the storms at bay. In my Jesus calling book it states how pleased God is when we choose to stay close and let Him lead the way.  In His Word it also says there are things that displease and disrupt the flow of His design in the Kingdom. Read the books of Proverbs and you’ll see what I mean..my fav is chapter 9. It is in these displeasing things we find the builders of the storm. Often they are things we don’t really think about like complaining (venting) to one another. It is one thing to discuss a situation while seeking a loving solution and another venting, ranting, and complaining. It opens the door to deadly sins such as self pity and rage. It drags those thoughts into the mind of whomever you are venting to and may even insight emotions within them they didn’t even have. I call the complaining, grumbling, back biting seeds of weeds that like the weather grow and wrap around until they are choking the ‘good” life right out of us and those we pulled into the garden with us.

God has really been dealing with me on this, while I am not a Debbie downer by any means, when frustrated I do grumble and complain in the name of venting and getting it off my chest. I don’t curse and throw a fit but, any form even when just complaining with a tone of anger can have the same effect when thrown out there. Well, the Holy Spirit is really tapping me up saying, ” and laying it on your neighbor’s chest, hmmmm does that sound right to you? Raining on their day. Instead, whenever you are tempted to grumble, when the storm is brewing, come talk to ME and we will talk it out. My ways are the Way to calm the storms. Together, we can calm the winds to a nice cooling breeze. I will put My thoughts in your mind, my Ways in your heart, and instead of a loud storm slamming in, you will have My song to sing. “   (add’l reading Philippians 2: 14-16)

So today, if you are swingin’ high and low, if the storm is heating up don’t go have a beer, smoke a cigarette, get high, or go to another grumbling and complaining (which is most always judgment and complaints about someone else). Take a moment to talk to God, tell Him all your troubles, seek Wisdoms knowledge and then sit quiet and listen to the Loving still small voice within. It is there you will find good seed and healthy solutions.

Have a Blessed Day everyone! Shalom.

Victim or Victor??

Between Kavanaugh vs Ford and Bill Cosby seems there is a divided rise once again in society. From what I am hearing even in the church setting, these battles (yes battles) are bringing up many emotions both new and old. After listening to many women both on TV and in person I questioned myself why is it I am not more upset?  Using societies term I am a ” victim of a violent crime” myself however, I am not seeing myself that way in all this. I acknowledge it happened, heck I wrote a book about it but, the victim mentality, the pain of it is just not there. Then I realized; it left me when I forgave myself and accepted Yeshua in my life. He promised I would be washed clean, white as snow, and Reborn the old me gone and the new me living in the Spirit of Love (of God) going forward.  He promised we would together be transformed and so far He sure has been keeping that promise. No, I no longer feel a victim, I no longer feel the pain, instead I feel I am the Victor! I survived!  All of it. (read my book to know what that means) The kidnapping, the brutal rape by multiple men, the consequences after when I allowed myself to embrace the victim mentality and fell into the deep dark hole of Satan’s whispers. A dark hole that kept me in bondage. It really was like they still had me cause I went forward abusing myself in guilt and shame. I was so hurt and mad at God I shut Him down and out too. I felt like God let me down and abandoned me. He didn’t but, I believed the lies of the father of all lies. But God,  He never gave up…He just kept knocking and sending His people knocking too. Until finally I opened the door. Yelling btw.. “what, what do you want from me. ”  Of course He answered, “for you to listen, I love you and can help you out of this mess“.  It took a some years (thanks to my hard head) before I really trusted Him and believed all my mess could be cleaned up.   Before I believed what the Holy Spirit was telling me, ” you are Not a victim, you are a Victor. We can use this mess as a message to help others. I can heal you.”  I even had a Sufi Master tell me, ” Proclaim and Read” .. that was all He said. Took me a minute to get that too.  I love theology and to read so I kept reading.  Reading things from all faiths, making friends from all walks of life, and the more I read the more I saw His Love, Mercy, & Forgiveness, the more I realized Letting Go of the Past & letting  Love lead is the key to becoming Victorious. Holding on to the hurt and anger just tightened the chains holding me bondage. Holding on I spent endless nights in tears, ultimately pushing even those who loved me away…even though that wasn’t my intention. It was when I forgave my captors & tried to understand that they surely were damaged victims too and that’s why they wanted to hurt me I began to heal. God led me thru a heck of a process to learn that bit of info. But, it was oh so worth it. I saw how many I hurt out of my pain after they hurt me. And those that I hurt didn’t ask for it either. They never caught my captors to my knowledge but, as long as I walked in the pain and as a victim it seemed I kept drawing more abuse my  way or I was dolling it out… in some form or fashion.  Like they say abusive parents come from abusive homes.  It was thru God’s Love I learned the only way to break that vicious cycle was to Let Go and Let God show me the Light of His Love and how it heals, how it conforms, how it changes your life.  Will no one ever try to take advantage or abuse you again…No, they will sometimes. Sometimes simply because you have “chosen” Not to be a victim and choose to follow The Way of our Lord. That’s how bullies operate, trying to break you down so they can control you. But, God showed me only He and I have authority of my life and my choices. And now I Trust He has His  protective hedge around me and as long as I am open and listen to that still small voice the Comforter will comfort me and show me the way thru and out Before I am brutally abused again. Yeshua Word shows me the way to handle situations and very often turn it into a victorious message that breaks the chains that bind that very person that is trying to abuse me. And then other times He just shows you me the way out and away from the whole situation telling me leave it all to Him. Either way, I am removed and safe in His arms.  I realize this is why I am not at home in tears over what I am seeing on TV. Instead it makes me just want to share His Love all the more so those it is hurting will seek Him and be healed just like I was. God doesn’t want us to carry that load, he wants us to bring it to Him. He wants us to go turn over the garden and cultivate His New seeds within us bringing forth Love and all the attributes of Light it Will bring within you and the lives of those you interact with. Now in my posts and many other ways I Proclaim: You Must Let Go of the Past. You Must forgive yourself & forgive your abuser as no not one of us is perfect and there is always I have learned more to the Big Picture. Now my mess has just like God said become a message that many tell me has been helping them. All Praises to God for His love and persistence. And just to be clear:       I am not saying there should be no justice or accountability for the abuser.. not at all. I am just saying, if these hearings are ‘hurting” you.. stop watching and instead Seek the Love of Father, His Word, & the Way of our Lord that you might be healed and able to comfort someone else too. We need healing not to remain in bondage. Cause there are a WHOLE LOT of us who have been abused in some fashion…trust me: to keep talking about it, reliving it, and remaining in the pain will only beget more pain.

Shalom, Renee’

Spirit of God vs Religion

All to often mankind gets caught up in the ” Religion/Religious” practices and traditions of that Religion rather than the Spirit of God which is simply put: Love.

When seeking our purpose and path in this life on Earth our faith and walk should be founded in the Spirit of Love – The Way of God…. Not a religion or religious group and the way “they say” your life should be. True Love and sacrifice allow you to seek, learn, ask, & commune not only with mankind but, personally with God. Once this has transpired, Respect the path God has shown you to take. Love and Respect the purpose God has bestowed on Your Life. It is in His timing and His Way that gets you to where He designed you be on Earth. It shouldn’t be man’s way that tells you who and where you should be. Sure sharing knowledge is good but, to know Your Way YOU need to seek God and His life of Love & Peace. You personally! Then you will reap all the attributes and fruit these two things were meant to bear within you.

In my seeking and interacting God led me to interact with those of various faiths, non faith, races, and levels of status in life. My findings revealed the foundational core in man is all the same: the desire to Love and be Loved, to live peacefully, not lacking for a roof over their heads, food to eat, & good health. Of course there are other “wants” of the heart as well but, when asked for the basic core of the hearts desire the answers all came back pretty much the same. And when I delved down into the different Religious teachings this Same Core was the fundamental foundation.  Which always makes me ask: ” why is mankind so divided? ”  My answer there is ” there is good and bad in all things and depending on man’s choices selfishness, greed, and the need to be in control often out weighs the true hearts desire of Love”  And unfortunately this is found to be true in all religious beliefs. I am not saying all who practice a religion have only these traits.. Nope. I am saying man is man no matter what religion he professes. It is only when a person rises above Religion and it’s practices into the SPIRIT of LOVE does God’s Way bear it’s fruit. It saddens me and I know it saddens God too how man has divided His Word and Love. God’s One desire was for Love to flourish and bear it’s good fruit within ALL His Creation. All were Created in His image which is why this is our hearts’ desire as well. (if we are honest about it.)

I know I talk on this subject ALOT! And I will keep talking about it, just like Jesus did in the hope it will fertilize and bring forth those seeds of Love planted within you. And I am Not talking about surface Love…I am talking about Love that bears all things, forgives, sacrifices, shares with others ( ALL others) not just some. Love that doesn’t pass judgment but, realizes no not one of us is perfect and but, by the grace of God you could be in the same position. Life situations create many things in peoples lives, many hurts and to often hurt responds in kind….but, know this: Love trumps & can heal Hurt. Love can Restore the Good man/woman God designed you to Be. But, to do that we must allow Love in. This is why Jesus says, ” Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”  That hearing his voice & sup with Him is in the cultivation & the Oneness of Love.

Personally, my heart was Very damaged, repeatedly and in turn I hurt some others too. Until I answered that knock. Now More and more as each day goes by & I trust in His Love I am able to share that Love in healthy ways. Everyday I learn to forgive myself and Love myself the way God loves me. In His Mercy Love has been able to grow. In that growth it allows me to share that love with others no matter their race, status, religious choices, and when needed: agree to disagree. This does not mean I allow abuse or go along with actions of harm…just the opposite. I try to share how my damage brought me more harm and harm into the lives of others. Then if they Choose Not to see the light in that truth, I pray for them and leave them in God’s hands. Just like God did me the many times I made choices to ignore Him. You & only You can choose to move on in life allowing the seeds of Love to come forth and flourish or you can choose to continue to let the weeds of hurt/pain choke you to Death.  In my opinion, the Spirit of God (Love) gives Life and all too often Religion (man’s interpretation of God’s Law) brings Death.  Religion is divided and a house divided cannot stand. As it is revealed in Revelations, Jesus return is to bring ALL creation together as ONE (in Love) cultivating and restoring His Kingdom (Earth) as it was originally designed to flourish:  in the perfection of Love.

So today as you go forth, begin pulling out those weeds in the garden of your heart so His seeds of Love can come forth and you can be a part of restoring Life on Earth as it is in Heaven. I mean Really can you honestly tell me that is not what you are yearning for?

Be a Light of Love in your daily Life, at whatever place you worship, and most importantly with whomever God places across your path. Whether well to do, homeless, or somewhere in between… have Mercy and share a little Love.

Why? Cause Love does change things.

Shalom

Doin’ the best I can

How many times have you caught yourself saying this?  And how many times have you asked yourself, ” Am I ?”  Or really looked at the whole picture and did a self eval to see if you really are ” doin’ the best you can”.

Recently, I found myself wondering these things and realized I could do better. Not saying I am not trying to do the best I can but, actually ” Doing that” is different than trying. I realized I could make some adjustments in “how” I am doing things and I could do better. Here are a few of the things my review of my “best” turned up:

1.) Spend at least 3 times a day for 10 mins (more preferably) with God in some fashion. Prayer, Song, Praises, Reading His Word, just plain talking to Him. I can testify this Does bring peace and joy which gives you the strength and ability to do your best.

2.) Learn to speak up when I am already overloaded. When we are overloaded in the first place trying to please others and take on more than we can handle only creates chaos and frustrations. Which result in my not being able to do the best I can.

3.) I could stand to make some adjustments in how I manage my time. Does anyone remember the use of Day timers?  I know people say “use your phone”  Well for me that is not as effective. When I plan the day on paper and can check things off as I go, I don’t miss things and can see the results of my progress.. this makes me feel better too.  So yeppers I got out an old Day timer and bought the pages, yes they still sell them which goes to show you I am not the only one who likes the ole school way. Like my mother in law used to say, ” if it ain’t broke don’t try to fix it”   I wish the darn phone people would listen to that and stop doing updates that make me all confused..more wasted time figuring out how to “re-use” my phone. Augh.

These are just a few items you might want to consider in your review of ” doin’ the best I can”. If you have some other good suggestions for improvement in the day to day, Please Comment and Share.. Would love to hear your thoughts!

Shalom!  Renee’

Identity Crisis

As I’ve watched and listened to family, friends, and mankind’s lives, I’ve realized more often than not in our lives we go thru various forms of identity crisis. It begins very early in life and can continue on until very late in life if we don’t slow down long enough to really look at ourselves.  If we don’t listed to that still small voice within that’s trying to bring forth the seeds planted within you to bear the fruit You alone were created to bear.

How many times have you caught yourself following trends, or changing yourself to ” fit in” with a crowd. How often do you attempt to re-invent yourself based on what the media & entertainers state is the style. Or in the attempt to never look like you are aging. We all age! We aren’t supposed to look and act like a 20/30 yr old at 60. Not that you shouldn’t take care of yourself but, you shouldn’t be trippin’ on not looking like a hot young thang  We even buy cars and decorate our homes based on commercial enticements and what everyone else is doing. Seeking what others have. (coveting) This has been a condition since pre Jesus. It is how habits, traditions, & cultures good and bad are created. Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying there shouldn’t be some “following” in some areas of life. It can be beneficial. However, I am saying it is not healthy if your inner spirit doesn’t fully resonate with whatever it is you choose to follow. I am saying you also need to be a leader in the areas of your life God gifted you to lead in. Times you need to listen to that still small voice so you become who you were designed to be and be at rest with who you are. Peace comes within when you are True to yourself and with others. Being fake, doing things you really don’t like, living a life that creates insecurity, anxiety, depression, and so on .  I realized very recently I wasn’t being true to myself concerned what some others in my life would think. That it might cause me to loose some people in my life. People I care about while at the same time their lifestyle choices don’t resonate with mine, leaving me in a position of choice: Conform and continue to hold back being fully myself or listen to the Holy Spirit within and let the chips fall where they may (as they say)  I don’t say this because I care any less about those in my life but, because I actually care More…more about being obedient to My calling, to walking the path I am called to walk, to stepping out and taking chances in areas others have said are silly, dumb, or out of style. More about being true to God’s plan, myself, and those I interact with. Then you know who really loves you, when they can love you as You.A I have never been one to totally follow the trends but, I realized I have been holding back and often making changes that just weren’t me based on comments said by others. It consistently led to unrest within me and it is Me I have to live with. Me I have to face in the mirror. Me that has to answer to God and Me that has to deal with the consequences every time I do things that really don’t resonate or fit into my inner garden. Each time I do it never bears the best fruit for me.

All this said to say: Take time to seek your passions, look at yourself, what really makes you thrive. What interests do You have. Try them. Do you really like wearing make up, dying your hair, and such. Are you putting yourself in debt trying to do what others do? How’s that working for you? Does it really make you feel better.  Or does it feel better when you are You an people love you just as you are? Have you stepped outside the box and watched it really pay off before? Do you have gifts and talents you haven’t embraced because you are afraid of what others might think?  Did you ever think in Not following your hearts desires you might be missing out on what will propel you upwards and onwards in life? All because you “think” others may not like it.  Dig deeper real innovators take chances, those we admire usually are those who didn’t conform and often were the quote “geeks”, like Bill Gates. Some of the things we enjoy most are because people darned to BE who that still small voice within pushed them to Be.

On that note I leave you to ponder my post and go work on my 2nd book that still small voice has been pushing me to write for the last 7 years. LOL

Shalom!

Same Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow

Shalom everyone!  One thing I have learned is this Truth! God’s Word is the same throughout time and it works when you work it. It all begins in with walking in His Spirit of Love and what is running around in the Mind. If you look at history you will see man continuously repeats himself in both good and bad. We put new packaging on our actions making it look or sound more fancy but, the actions and outcomes are the same. The only time thing we can count on that does Not change is LOVE, it’s actions, and it’s consequences. As is said in Hebrews:  He is the same yesterday, before He came into the world, and to-day, in heaven. Yesterday in the time of our predecessors, and to-day in our age” [Bengel]. So the doctrine is the same, not variable: this verse thus forms the transition between Heb 13:7 and Heb 13:9. He is always “the same” (Heb 1:12). The same in the Old and in the New Testament.

And no matter what religion/faith you practice this is a Truth. True Love does not change. For more details on the attributes of love..go back thru my earlier posts and you will find more or seek out the truth of Love yourself..it is found in all God’s teachings. And it is time well spent digging and finding all the info and testimonies of how Love has worked in people’s lives.. just pay attention through each day and you will see it work too.

Have a Blessed Day!

It’s Never too Late!

Ya ever feel like you “missed the boat” when it comes to your dreams and passions? I know I have. Or maybe like me, you’ve been “half steppin’ /dabbling” for years.  I can’t tell you how often I hear others say these same types of statements. Nor how many over 50 yrs old say, ” well, it was a nice dream but, I am too old now. ”  My life’s journey & many very active seniors taught me “It’s Never too Late!  I met a lady years ago when she was a young 100 yrs old and she was a writer and dancer. And she had started later in life too. She didn’t start her writing until her 70’s. I recently met a young  yr fabulous French woman in her 80’s who seems to have no fear of going for it when she comes up with new ideas or feels compelled to try new things.  She is so inspirational !! I could write a long list of people who didn’t seek their passions until after they had retired from careers, raised families, and so on. But, I won’t….Google It and see for yourself. smile  Instead I will share a bit of my story. From a young girl I have loved writing, reading, and sharing what I learn along the way. Whether it was in letters to friends, in my journal, in school essays, or on blog sites. (nope this is not my 1st one. smile)  Then about 15 years ago the Holy Spirit clearly told me to ” Proclaim, Read, and Write!”

So I have.  However, I have continuously allowed things in life to interfere in really going after my dreams and passions in writing & ministry. All to often, I hate to say distracted by nonsense like TV, social media, just plain hanging out. However, the Holy Spirit keeps tapping me letting me know,  “it is your calling to be a Spiritual Advisor/Life Coach, when are you going to do what God created you to do in life?”. Even opening doors I couldn’t pass up over the last 20 years all related to my calling. God opened the doors for me to become an Ordained Minister and a Life Coach, then again not long ago to become a Wellness Advocate. Not because I sought out the courses but, because God sent people my way opening these doors. Each time those sent my way, insisted I should listen and take this road. Even bartering the costs so I didn’t have to pay to be a Life Coach. Now at  63 years old that still small voice is loud. And I still caught myself questioning, ” have I not waited to late in life? ” Then my own Spirit said, ” Stop that! You are actually questioning God? Really! ”  So I kicked those defeating words to the curb and soon as I did doors are opening again for me to move forward. I have never been able to deny my love of Theology, my love of people, wanting to lend a helping hand when possible, & that the gift of gab are my passions. Smile The pressing now is that same insistent pressing I had to write my book ” Somewhere in Between“. Which reminded me so far those who have read it have only given positive feedback & many saying it helped them with issues in their lives.  Then clear as a bell the other day, I hear that still small voice say again, ” Proclaim, Read, and Write”!  And this time, I feel it in my bones, it’s Not too late!  I mean not to late to really focus and get my website out there, to share my book in mightier ways, and maybe see if the local paper would need some space filler articles sometimes.  I Know that I Know my site can and will be helpful to others if I just stop “half steppin” and get it out there. So that is exactly my new Goal and plan. To become in “fullness” who God created me to be…via the web and thru my writings.

That said, Please should you know anyone that might like my site Share IT! Suggest they follow it and please make comments if you have words to share. If you would be interested in my book there is a link so you can buy it too. Smile And very likely book #2 will be coming down the pike in 2019. Smile

Now that I have shared my goals…what are yours?? Are you sitting on or half steppin’ on your dreams and goals?  If so, Get up and Go for it!  It’s never to Late to TRY!!

Hugs and Shalom!!

Survival of the Fittest

What exactly does that mean to You? Are you prepared to survive your life’s journey?

The literal definition is: the state or fact of continuing to live or exist, typically in spite of an accident, ordeal, or difficult circumstances. That last one “difficult circumstances” is a pretty broad definition when you ponder it. In this post I will tap on a couple then leave it to you to ponder what ways difficulties can arise. Know they arise in in various ways: Mentally, Physically, Emotionally, & Spiritually. Now I ask again, ” Are you prepared to Survive your life’s journey?  I write this post to bring light to some High Priority Survival tools. As many of you, I ” think ” I am pretty prepared to survive. Well, this week I took some compliance tests for my job, there was one about Survival in the event of Disasters…of all kinds and I realized I am not very prepared at all really. What if out of nowhere you become part of a natural disaster, like the Fires in the western states right now, what would you do? Do you have an emergency plan, your main documents like will, birth certificates, etc. in a fire proof box you can pick up and run with? Do you have a bag packed with some necessities including snacks and water? What about your Bible? Lord knows you will need it to maintain your mental health and share with others. Your laptop (if you have one) & phone…easy to put your hands on with the chargers? This is a biggie to me as my livelihood depends on it, I work remote with my job. And my income is such that I would need every dime if my house burned down or a tornado, hurricane, or some other natural disaster hit. I wouldn’t need to be spending that money on a new laptop and phone. What do you have in your car if you had to grab just a little stuff and go. Do you have blanket, a jacket, forms of light, a small tent?  Think about it, what if the Holy Spirit said, ” Get out! Now! ” like God did with Lot and his family – https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis+19&version=NIV

In my opinion, the #1 tool for survival in this life brings the question: Are you in relationship with God where you would even hear the Holy Spirit’s warnings? Or are you so dependent on the world’s media that you follow the crowd just doing what everyone else does? Or say things like, “my phone will warn me when to leave.” God is within each of us, He breathed His spirit in us for a reason. We all have and can hear Him if we haven’t chosen to close that door because we are sick of religion or because we have been hurt and blame God. Or just because we are caught up in the ways of the world today that those have become our God.  BTW: your hurts are not God’s fault. He is a loving God only trying to protect and carry your Thru the disasters. And No, the natural disasters are Not God’s fault but, that is another conversation for another day. Shutting your mind up from God doesn’t make Him any less real…it only keeps you from tapping into His power within you, from knowing the mysteries of life, experiencing the Fullness and all the attributes of Love. (which is God) Bottom line, it only limits You. It is God’s Love that speaks from within with that still small voice of intuition, that gut feeling, or sometimes literal hearing of warnings”. If you will take a moment to ponder these words you will find the #1 tool is of major importance to get thru the difficulties of a disaster whether it be natural or a disaster of daily life like divorce, health issues, loss of a loved one. Without the Spirit of the Love of God to lean on this journey is a very rough and treacherous road, I can testify to that. I have walked down both roads and trust me I will never choose to walk without Yeshua again.

#2 Tool are things that you need created by mankind some of which I mentioned above. My compliance course advised we view this site: https://www.ready.gov/   It really is a great site and made me really look at how prepared I am. It even covers cyber security and has all the links to sites to aid in the aftermath. Take a look at the part of the site: https://www.ready.gov/make-a-plan. Are you even 50% prepared?

And for those unbelievers don’t be smarty pants saying, ” I thought all you need is God”. I respect your right to choose and be an unbeliever and I would appreciate it if you respect mine ” as a believer”. God gave us a brain for us to use it. Which is why mankind was given many different gifts and talents. We were created in His image that we might Create and develop the things we need in this life’s survival. Not to sit around on our laurels saying, ” well, I’m just waiting on God” or saying “whatever”. The verses in James 2:17-18 say it best: “In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. 18But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds.”

Well, I think I will end it here. I am sure I have made my point and I pray you have taken the time to read this and look at your life asking, ” Am I prepared for what life can bring my way?”  If you aren’t, get up off your laurels and get into action! Cause I know in your heart you want to live life to it’s fullest. I know you honestly want to be prepared not only for yourself but, for your loved ones that surround you. So, don’t just make your plan for you…who else is in your life. Maybe it’s a neighbor or you have time to get involved in the community in the event of a disaster. Ya know here in New York the winters are very cold, maybe you can help an elderly neighbor so they don’t have to get out in the snow and risk the disaster of a fall. Or maybe someone is so poor they can’t afford a coat or a car…give them a lift to the store or give them one of your coats etc.

Ok, gotta go work on my plan, find where I can get involved in my community, and create my tub of stuff to put back into the back of my car. I dismantled it when I moved and never put it back and winter is just around the corner. Lord knows I don’t want to have to lug it up from the basement at the last moment. Smile

Shalom!  and HUGS!

Veggie Life

My youngest is an organic grower and has taken “loving thyself” seriously. She wants to age well maintaining her health so they bought a farm & they grows there own fruits/veggies. I get lots of chuckles at how into it all she has taken her urban farming. She is her PaPa and Great Pa Boyd’s decendent. Praise God! Cause as life goes roles are reversing and she is telling her ‘ole Mom’ what and how to eat so I can maintain my health in my golden years. Once again ” God is on time all the time” providing me all her wisdom she is gaining from her journey in life.  I thought I knew a fair amount about healthy living but, the girl is putting me to shame. LOL  I am growing my own veggies now too and she gladly shares or I go seeking her advise. I am so grateful for the ways she Loves her Mom. Here are a couple of ways she shared recently.  ” BEET BURGERS and BLACK BEAN BURGERS”  Healthy Good Burgers!  I know that doesn’t sound so great if you have always been a Beef Burger person. However, if you want to have fun and enjoy live and don’t want to spend all your time at a Drs office, ER, Hospital, and so on you might want to consider ” choosing” to check out these recipes.  I did and I won’t go back!  I loved them both, & am thankful my daughter loves me enough to push a little to try new and healthy styles of eating. They actually tasted better to me than a regular burger and my tummy feels better after too! Ya know, Love is an action and she sure is showing the Love and honoring of your pareants Yeshua teaches in The Word..Hallelujah! .   And since God calls us to love our neighbors as ourselves, I am sharing with you that same Love God calls her to share…so here are the recipes and you can of course tweek spices and ingredients to create some of your own twists to these burgers. SMILE

Here is the recipe for the Beet meat for your burgers..cook in your kitchen or on the Grill.

Did you know there are multiple verses about eating veggies in His Word?

Proverbs 15:17 Better is a dish of vegetables where love is Than a fattened ox served with hatred.  Daniel 1:12 “Please test your servants for ten days, and let us be given some vegetables to eat and water to drink. Numbers 11: 5“We remember the fish which we used to eat free in Egypt, the cucumbers and the melons and the leeks and the onions and the garlic.  Last but by no means least is the verses the Daniels Diet was founded on…Daniel 1:11-13 Then Daniel said to the steward whom the chief official had set over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, 12“Please test your servants for ten days. Let us be given only vegetables to eat and water to drink. 13Then compare our appearances with those of the young men who are eating the royal food, and deal with your servants according to what you see.”…

Let’s Walk…

Ya know there are two types of Walks. A literal walk & a spiritual walk.  When you blend them together you are loving both your body and your mind.  A real plus is you can do your literal walk and grow in your Spiritual walk at the same time. Thanks to technology you can listen while you walk. Repeat your mantras which aids in keeping pace. Like the Marines do. smile The results of this being part of your Daily routine bring peace, joy, good cardiovascular workout, and Yes muscle tone.

Helps prevent diseases: 30-minutes per day can have huge health benefits, namely cutting your chance of developing cardiovascular diseases – this half hour of daily walking can cut heart disease and stroke by 27-percent, it adds. “By increasing your heart rate, daily walks greatly improve your overall heart health,”  Did you know walking helps ward off other diseases? The Michigan State University notes that walking can help prevent chronic diseases other than heart disease, including Type 2 Diabetes, and even some forms of cancer. In the case of diabetes, simple walking helps lower blood glucose and insulin resistance, notes the source. Since cancer is the second leading cause of death after heart disease in the U.S., the source explains that getting at least 150-minutes of “moderate-intense” (meaning brisk) activity spread throughout the week can help lower the risk. That’s only about 20-minutes per day when you do the math, which should be manageable for most people.. And a good steady pace is easier on the Joints.

Helps raise your serotonin level and control Anxiety and Depression.A post from Reader’s Digest suggests 7-tips to “get the most happiness from your daily walk,” adding that making small changes to your current walking routine can ease anxiety. Or put some stairs in your walk for a bigger effect. In fact, just changing the way you walk can have an impact on how you feel, notes the source. It cites a study in the Journal of Behavior Therapy and Experimental Psychiatry that says participants remembered more positive words from a list when they employed a “happy” walking style (straight posture and arm swinging) than those with a negative walking style. Like a hike at Hurricane Falls!

Promotes Weight Loss:  You might not equate walking with a weight loss regime, but according to sources including DevelopingGoodHabits.com, “Walking to lose weight is possible.” The source says you can lose 1-pound per week by building “the walking habit.”

Fresh Air, Nature, and a bit of interaction with others – find a walking mate or a group:  Getting a steady supply of fresh oxygen has many benefits, including cleansing your lungs, better mental clarity, better digestion, and even increased serotonin that is linked to a positive mood, offers the source. There is one caveat, however: “In big cities, you need to find a park or garden with plenty of trees and plants to enjoy fresh air. Also good quality air can be found in abundance around seashore and beaches,” adds the source.

So get out there, listen to some Joyce Meyer, Bishop Bonner, Joel Osteen, Casey Treat or whomever your fav is and get to walkin’. Walking with a partner or group…discuss the Word while Walking – sharing your Blessings, encouraging one another, practice verses together or sing Praises while you walk and Bless those around you!  Oh and add in some stairs for extra benefits.. Google it and you will see more benefits of simply Walking 30 mins a day.

Shalom!
