Knowledge & Wisdom; 2 different things

All to often many believe Knowledge and Wisdom run hand in hand. Truth is you can have little knowledge and be full of wisdom.

Many who are book smart or crazy intelligent in there comprehension of formal education, clearly don’t have ears to hear or eyes to see in the day to day choices needed to function within the world. Why? Because the majority of the time, they rely strictly the world’s form of formal education missing out on experiencing LIFE’s education given by the Spirit of God within you.

Knowledge:  the fact or condition of knowing something with familiarity gained through experience or association.  Wisdom: good sense: the ability to make sensible decisions and judgments based on personal knowledge and experience.  Do you see the difference in these definitions? They are closely related yet, oh so different. One is Knowing something gained through experience or association and the other having the ability to take that Knowing and make decisions based on PERSONAL knowledge & experience. Why am I posting about this? Three reasons: To bring awareness to the Fact that one can have Wisdom whether they have formal education or Not, because the Spirit is telling me to share, and because I wanted to let you know the purpose of my posts is that you might gain Wisdom through the seeds of Knowledge shared.  I am part of the I AM yet, like most of you, a work in progress by no means perfect. Therefore, I am in hopes you will click the COMMENT tab & share your seeds of knowledge and wisdom on my site. My posts & your comments of knowledge, are both information tools that myself & other readers can utilize or Not.  I don’t know how much you are noticing but, the world today seems to be bearing more weeds than fruit and the Only solution is pulling the weeds thru the sharing of good seeds, that they might bear good fruit in the lives of our neighbors. One thing Life has been and is still teaching me is: formal education” Knowledge” , may or may not Grow and gain Wisdom & Knowledge alone can bear a much worse ignorant behavior than the ignorance of those with No formal education. I have also learned as a seeker one must have an open heart and willingness to sit in the presence of All God’s children that we might then use the wisdom revealed to choose the good seeds of knowledge that your neighbor has to share. And even though you may have to agree to disagree on some seeds of knowledge, we Do ALL have knowledge to share. None of us Know everything and we ALL are ignorant about something as         “no not one of us is perfect”. Good seeds are a blessing shared that can then be planted & cultivated in your garden so that the Wisdom of the Spirit can & will be revealed bearing the fruit You need to know and apply that is Best for YOU in this moment. Wisdom is Not a given nor given at the same time to everyone. Just like what is good for your body may or may not be good for your neighbor.  We must remember we are not clones nor intended to be; we are ALL created unique individuals, different DNA, different finger prints, different Minds, Bodies, and Spirits..each with a purpose on Earth and in This Life.

Well, enough planted from me today, now it’s time to work not only to pay the bills but, that I continue to grow both in Knowledge and Wisdom. Shalom, Peace, & Salat

May your decisions be from the seeds of Wisdom gained both by personal knowledge from God and “by the experiences” gained in day to day Life amoungst your neighbors.

Clear the Clutter

Do you look around you and think, “Lordy, I need to clear out some of this clutter in this house?” Guess what! The place to begin that clean up is within You!

Your outer house is a reflection of your inner house. So, if your mind is overloaded, full of Stuff both necessary and unnecessary, it will flow out into your surroundings. You say, “No, it’s because I have no time” Well, all that running to and fro with stuff you think you have to do determines how much TIME you have. You are the One choosing what seeds to cultivate in life which form roots within your inner garden. And it is a proven fact, We Can dig up the root of things and plant new seeds that will create new roots bearing new fruit that brings Change both within and without. Yes, it takes a bit of time but oh it is soooo worth it!  So, you want to Clear the Clutter in your life? You must be willing to give some TLC to your mind and the inner garden of your heart. Good roots must be nutured (nuture: to feed, protect, and support) so they grow down deep 1st then Grow UP seeking the Light that will then develop the hybrid Best of His seed planted within you.

Step One:  Clean up and Clear out the Mind. Once again: get out some paper OR have a seat with your computer and create 30 pages with these columns;  a.) NEEDS, b.)HEARTS DESIRES, and c.) OTHER STUFF.  Now set aside 20 mins (or more if you want) at the End of the Day, reflect on your day, & jot down your findings in the appropriate column. Take a moment to think before you Jot down your thoughts…was it a “true” need required of your day? What ARE your heart’s desires? (those things that are ever present within you bringing joy when you DO or think of Doing them), and last the “other Stuff”, those seeds which others planted in your mind and now are popping up thru out the day. (these might have been planted by those around you, by the media, or something you’ve read. (like my posts) These are ALL the seeds that the world throws at your inner garden in which YOU now can CHOOSE whether to allow them to fall on the edge of the garden to be blown away and discarded, fall on top of the other “stuff weeds” (from days past) which you aren’t sure you want to take hold a place within you, & those seeds sound good & you would like to find a clear place in your garden so you can water, feed, and cultivate them that they might take root and grow moving over into column One or column Two. Do this assignment for 30 days.

To aid in your sorting thru and cleaning out of good seed from bad try reading Matthew 13: 1-9, 18-23. As always, My assignments are rooted in the teaching of my BFF, Jesus. This parable of A sower and his seeds really packs a light of enlightenment IF you take the time to read it. The farmer in this parable planted seeds in four different types of soil. Only one of the soils produced a good crop. Jesus explained that the soils represented people’s hearts. Showing once again where the seeds of word(s), God’s or the world’s, planted within us is where it all begins. Time and time again “BY EXPERIENCE” God has shown me we DO reap what we sow within our inner gardens and that He did give Me the authority and free will choice to Choose what seeds fall & take root in the inner garden of my heart.

Should you Choose to accept this assignment you will find at the end of the 30 days, not only has your mind pulled some weeds clearly space already in your garden but, you now have a good choice of seeds to begin replanting your garden and a much clearer picture of what you want in the outer landscaping of your garden too. You simply can’t organize and shed unneeded or unwanted things in your outer surroundings when your mind is too full of clutter. It will only result in procrastination of stopping, starting, and creating more clutter cause your mind is so full of weeds it can’t Choose! This now creates frustration, which breeds depression, which breeds more stuff and weeds growing all around you Choking YOU out. Stop and accept the assignment!

FREE UP some Space within and you will find now you can clear some space without too!

Keep watch for Step Two in 30 days! …which you guessed it, will only work if you worked Step One. SMILE

Chi Chi Chia Seeds not the Pet

Are you looking in the mirror saying to yourself, “I have got to do something about this increasing waistline!”

Well, guess what! The Chia Seed can help you help yourself!                                       In His Word we are called to Love others as we Love ourselves. The thing about that is: You do have to cultivate the Love of yourself, In positive healthy ways. A proven fact is:  how you see yourself does result in how you Love yourself. That said, here’s some seeds I am planting in the mind, to get you started on decreasing that belly fat.

Chia (Salvia hispanica) is a species of flowering plant in the mint family cultivated for their seeds and their huge nutritional profile. These little seeds are a known good source of omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, protein, calcium, phosphorus, and manganese. Filled with positive health effects they are a great diet aid; boosting energy, stabilizing blood sugar, aiding digestion, and lowering cholesterol. Based on these benefits they aid with Diabetes slowing digestion and preventing sugar spikes which also results in the Fight of Belly Fat!

Chia’s stabilizing effect on blood sugar fights insulin increase which is tied to an increase in dreaded belly fat.

How do you add them to your diet?

“The easiest way is to add it to everything and anything and watch the change in your desire to snack,” The seeds are tasteless so they won’t affect the flavor of your food, which makes them easy to integrate into your meals. They can be sprinkled whole on top of salads or toast or added milled to smoothies, and some people even add them to ice cream. I say, try flourless pancakes (no sugar)  made with Oatmeal and of course: Chi Chi Chi Chia Seeds! Two medium size pancakes fill me up & I don’t even want to snack before the lunch hour.            You can goggle for various recipes of pancake recipes.

Enjoy!

” Life and Death”

In Life there is death, it’s inevitable. Yet death comes in two forms:  Spiritual death while you are amoung the living and Literal Death, met sometimes before it’s time. Just like the positive and the negative one does not exist without the other.  Created with Free Will Choice we can choose to live in the light of the positive, which has been proven to extend life. Or we can choose to live in the darkness of negativity, which can and will kill us spiritually and often literally.     All to often spiritual death is a result of our relationships with one another.      We as human beings are designed as one unique individual yet, we can only truly function completely within our interactions with one another. That Is how our Creator designed all things on Earth, to interact with Him & with one another that we then might work “all things to the good, in Him who strengthens us”

We, His creations Need to be mindful of this truth and slow down enough to realize Life is meant to be lived in a state of Oneness and Love. When we get in to much rush, stressed out, joy stolen, and caught up in “ourselves & all about ourselves” we miss Life. In short we are allowing Death both within and without to be drawn to us, cheating us of the one Life we have to live.

Our part in this Life is to Respect the Life and Blessings given to us, by our Creator, that we might live Life to the fullest in His Kingdom on Earth as it is in Heaven. In a world full of so much negativity, “The Way” to really Live Life is when we, His people, come together, two or more, in agreement and support one another in His Love.  To do this we must begin by seeking His Light & the guidance in His Word.

So, today’s lesson is:  to reflect on all things Good in your Life. Write down how  you feel when you think on these things?  Are others part of those “good” things in your life? Make note of how often you are “not” alone when you reflect on the good things in your life.  Now:  Seek what Jesus says about these good things and how they can be cultivated and grow, dispelling darkness both within and without, shedding even more good Light in your life and the life of others.   It is in these good things, found within you, that you will find “the path” that leads to the Life meant specifically for you.

Shalom – Peace

“Tea Time”

Tips on Tea! Personally, I love tea, hot tea, cold tea, sweet tea, green teas, every imaginable kinda tea. Not too long ago I learned Tea is just full of benefits for our bodies. Did you know it contains small amounts of fluoride? Mature leaves contain as much as 10/20 x the level of young leaves therefore, helping to prevent tooth decay.

One of my favs for health: The antioxidants in Green Tea. This tea can trigger weight loss by stimulating the body to burn calories especially in the belly area. I don’t know about you but, I like this little helper tea. smile

It’s now found that tea and coffee actually DO hydrate the body but, must be drank alongside water. Studies show the best results are of course when kept in “moderation” – no more than 2 cups per day.

Studies in the Netherlands have shown more than a 50% decrease in severe atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries) in women who drank 1 to 2 cups of tea daily. A similar trend was found in men but, it was not as effective. I personally contend this has something to do with tea and our hormones. I can testify tea is a comfort and soothes not only my body but, my spirit when my hormones are clearly trying to mess up my day. A nice cup of hot herbal tea such as Dong Qua, juniper leaf or raspberry leaf aids in relieving cramps & tension headaches, as well as, calms the mind.

White tea from the buds & leaves of the Chinese’s “camellia siensis” plant, are shown to be effective in fighting infections cause by staph, pneumonia, and there it is again, tooth decay. This tea undergoes “very little” processing and is Not fermented, so it does not contain tannins found in black & green teas. Thanks to the polyphenois strength in this tea it is said to aid in the fight with Cancer & reduce the plaque that causes strokes.

Needing a laxative?  try a 4 week fast of 3 cups a day of Licorice tea. It is a mild antispasmodic laxative and helps protect the stomach lining. Drank in lower levels this tea also aid in prevention of heart disease, is a good expectorant for bronchial disorders, and has anti inflammatory properties.

These are just “Some” of the benefits of tea.  Boy, did God bless us when he created the many variations of teas for his children’s health. One of my favorite verses showing herbs are a blessing is: Proverbs 15:17 “Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith.”   A verse letting us know herbs and Love are healers. So, take 5 with someone near and dear & have a cup of tea with a side order of Love!  It won’t be long till you too are testifying concerning the benefits of tea. Not to mention, the wonder working power of sharing a cup of tea & Love with your neighbor.

Live, Laugh, and Love!

In these you will Be Blessed and be a Blessing in all you do.

Bugs, Bugs, I’m Talkin’ about Bugs!

Do you ever catch yourself saying, “Gotta eliminate those pesky Bugs!”

As the Citronella Queen I have many “Mosquito” (Citronella) Plants in the front and back of my condo. I have even considered a Bat house although I can’t figure out how to let them know only two are allowed…not 15 or 20 stuffed in one little house. LOL.

Then my friend reminded me how God created Bugs, too, and we need them in the big scheme of things. Did you know:  Without insects operating dutifully about their ecosystems, our world would be a very different place than the one we’ve come to enjoy?

Without Honey Bees, we would not have honey or beeswax.

Blister Beetles – the chemical they secrete from their joints – called “Cantharidin” is, ironically, used in some wart removal products.

Lady Bugs are your ultimate garden protector, feeding on insects bent on the destruction of your plants.

Love ’em or loathe ’em, Spiders serve a greater purpose than creeping you out. Spiders are the ultimate insect exterminators and work to keep the insect population in check by feeding on just about anything with more legs than you.

And even Mosquitoes serve a purpose as a fabulous dining delicacy for my Bats. Smile.

So, next time you catch yourself complaining about the Bugs (which, by the way, His Word says we shouldn’t do, complain, that is) – remember insects are part of God’s creation, too and Do serve mankind in various purposes.

Last, but not least, All Praises to God, He also gives gifts to mankind to create wonderful items to keep the bugs out of our five-foot perimeter: like Avon Skin So Soft – it keeps the Bugs at Bay and smells great, too!

May your days be Blessed and Bite Free.
