Romans 12:2 “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”
This week I had more than one conversation about ” feelings” & the effects of those “feelings” Now feelings are a funny thing & should Never have control of your Life. They are like the waves of the ocean and can lift you up or drag you down to the depths of a bummer day. They can move you forward to BE all you Can Be, riding the perfect wave; or Drag you down to be bound in darkness & the Lies of Satan. Like the Lie that you just can’t go on or that you are a Victim or addicted and will be all of your days. Well, I am here to tell you those are Lies! I know by experience – not just talk. Those Lies can only come true if you Allow your Feelings to continually come forth into “Words” said within you and without; which in turn Will take control your mind manifesting themselves into a Truth for you. Not that they are the Truth, only that they will be in that moment because you have convinced yourself they are. You see your Mind thrives on what you Feed it, the watering of the seeds of your heart. What is your heart set on?
Just as you can water seeds of destruction, You DO have the same ability to cultivate and water the good seeds within “transforming” those Lies by the renewing of Your Mind thru the Word and Promises of Jesus. The same way you continually speak Death to your Soul you can speak Life and Light to your Soul. In this YOU take back control of your “feelings” and in turn your Mind will Be transformed growing stronger daily in the Truth & Light of Love, Grace, Mercy, Compassion, and the list goes on. The key to unlocking the chains that bind you and your transformation is found in your Free Will Choice. What you ALLOW your mind to focus on and absorb. Pay attention to what you are listening to, talking about, watching on TV, & reading. What do you go to bed focused on? The good things of the day or the bummers that may have happened? Is your mind in this moment or stuck in the Past? You can not change the Past but, You can Change this moment and the Future. It takes some discipline, some looking at things without and within. It takes an open heart and the Willingness and Heart’s Desire to want to be washed clean and transformed. Life and Death ARE in the power of the tongue. Careful who you hang with constantly. Careful what You Allow to fill your heart, mind, and especially what proceeds from your mouth. Instead of caving into negativities in life and we all have them sometimes, kick them to the curb and seek the Blessings that are all around us. Seek Good things and Good people. Seek those equally yoked that you might walk as ONE in The Way of seeking to Live and walk the Life of Love and Light on Earth as it is in Heaven. WAY more Doors open in Life when you Seek His Promises, look for the possibilities, & have a Mind that is open to Try new Good things. Last but not least, most important in fact: Remember to be Thankful each day for ALL the Good things God does provide and sends your way. It is Not up to Him whether you Choose to take hold of all His promises and provisions. It is Your Choice and it begins in your Heart, Mind, & “feelings”.
A dear friend and I are in the process of seeking in His Word His promises on our lives. Join us: Take 15 mins a day (or more should you choose) & seek God and His promises. Then Choose to have Faith and Believe in those promises and watch your days begin to change with the renewing of your Mind. I found a a good place to start is in Ephesians.
Enjoy and know I am praying you all Choose Good Things each and every day as you rise. In our doing so, we CAN make Change!
Peace!
May these verses aid in the renewal of your mind & the minds of those around you.
Hebrews 10:22-24 let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 23Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; 24 and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds.
