Words spoken don’t float up into nothingness, like seeds blown by the winds they are carried from one garden of the heart to another. Lately we have had some crazy strong winds blowing everything this way and that. I used to say, ” boy, I wish those would stop.” I felt that way again the other night and then I heard the Holy Spirit say, ” yep that’s how I feel when your tongue is blowing every word but, my word every this way and that – please stop” OUCH! I know of course exactly what she was indicating. Immediately I confessed and asked forgiveness & began to seek verses on controlling my tongue and speaking in Love not frustration. Time has taught me all things have a good and bad within them, including me as I am definitely still a garden in progress of being restored. As far as the winds of nature, I learned the wind moves many seeds from one place to another. Have you ever made a wish on a dandelion flower? The air (wind) takes those seeds and carries them to different locations. Our words once spoken are carried by various forms too. Like Airwaves, gossip, or have you ever had your voice carry and someone you didn’t intend to hear your conversation did hear you? These are actually frequency wave vibrations but, not the less they are carried and can do good or bad.
Your heart & the hearts of your neighbors are God’s garden waiting for us to come and join Him in the creation and cultivation of those gardens placed within us. So, the next time you get ready to let your tongue wag, ask yourself : “what seeds am I planting & cultivating within my garden & the gardens of those having ears to hear?”
I’ll leave you with some verses to ponder: In simple humility, let our gardener, God, landscape you with the Word, making a salvation garden of your life. James 1:21
My little children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ is formed in you. Galatians 4:19
Gal. 6: 7-8 Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
Genesis 8: 22 “While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.”
Hosea 8: 4-7 ” They made kings, but not through me. They set up princes, but without my knowledge. With their silver and gold they made idols for their own destruction.5 I have[a] spurned your calf, O Samar′ia. My anger burns against them.
How long will it be till they are pure 6 in Israel?[b]A workman made it; it is not God.
The idol of Samar′ia shall be broken to pieces.[c] 7 For they sow the wind, & they shall reap the whirlwind.”
“The heart’s garden can grow compassion or fear, greed or giving, resentment or Love. What are you sowing?
Read Luke Chapter 8 the parable of the seeds and when finished know: verse 11 makes it simple “Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. “
