What can I eat?

10 days! That said, today I am listing foods you Can eat during this Daniel’s fast. smile Note these foods are great for your mind, body, and your spirit year-round. I am praying as was said in the book of Daniel:

Daniel then said to the guard whom the chief official had appointed over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah, 12 “Please test your servants for ten days: Give us nothing but vegetables to eat and water to drink. 13 Then compare our appearance with that of the young men who eat the royal food, and treat your servants in accordance with what you see.” 14 So he agreed to this and tested them for ten days.15 At the end of the ten days they looked healthier and better nourished than any of the young men who ate the royal food. JUST Think how good you will look and feel after 28 days! To read the full story which includes the foods the King wanted to feed them read: Daniel 1: 1-15.

Foods to Eat:

Fruits & Vegetables: fresh, frozen, dried, juiced, and canned. These should be free of additional sweeteners using herbs to add any extra flavoring. https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/salt-alternatives One of my fav alternatives is herbs de provence: https://www.masterclass.com/articles/what-are-herbs-de-provence

As we enter this Fast keep in mind, we were given authority on Earth to take care of ALL God created. That includes yourself. To fulfill our roles, we are to be good stewards with the Blessings given by the Father. For us to be a good steward we must feed not only our bodies good food but, our Minds and Hearts. The Good Food for that portion of the fast is, you guessed it, the GOOD News – The Word of God. Not only are we cleansing the body but, our goal is to “break up the fallow ground of the hearthttps://biblehub.com/sermons/auth/pearse/the_garden_of_the_heart.htm

The Beauty of Creation

DSC_1024  Fairfield Bay, Arkansas in the Ozark Mountains

Hidden up on Greer’s Ferry Lake is a beautiful little resort community if you need to get away from the stressors of the world. Yes, there is still Cell service and WiFi, if you feel you must have it. There are nice condos for rent & a hotel however, there are not malls, massive convenience stores, no Starbucks, things like that. There is a Dollar Store, a nice country grocery, a few restaurants, a country club, and golf course. And Lots of great hiking and water sports on a huge lake.

Spring and summer are coming and during our times of coping with Covid it’s a wonderful time to get back to the Beauty of God’s Creation. To enjoy family time or as single individual get away and relax. That is my grand plan for sure. This and many places on the East coast are now on my bucket list. I am a lover of waterfalls, so much so I moved to Niagara Falls, so my next few golden years are full of great expectations of camping all around the East Coast. In all areas of US there are awesome places & seems for most of us the ones closest to home are the places we haven’t been. I bet there are awesome places of nature near you too – google it & get out there and enjoy God’s creation. Remember don’t leave trash, take it with you. smile

Today I leave you with thoughts of listening to the awesome sounds of some Falls and in hopes you will get out and enjoy nature.

Transition of Care

In the Medical world Providers will use the term "Transition of Care" when taking on a new patient. It occured to me when Yeshua (Jesus) takes our hand we too begin a "Transition of Care". The word Transition means: passage from one state, stage, subject, or place to another. As I continue to read thru Genesis, I see a constant Transition of Care not only from Yah, (God) but, within the person themselves and in some cases within the family. Then it hit me Life as a whole is really a Transition of Care. Even the Earth has a transition of care not only in the change of seasons but, in the way We, mankind treat it. How we operate in Love creates a transition of care as well. All this made me look at myself and my surroundings which only brought questions: Am I transitioning or am I in a Rut? I determined I am and have been in a bit of a Rut. Even though, I am spending time in the Word, I am not allowing the Holy Spirit to bring forth the transitions I need. I've been hearing and even seeing where I need to begin the transition of care. And in some areas I take some steps but then like the ole saying says, I take two steps forward and one back into old habits. Which brought the next question, Why go to the Lord seeking help to "change - transition" into who my spirit is crying out to be if I am only going to half step my way along the road with Him? How can I share and be a light/testimony if I am dragging my feet? Why Am I not allowing myself Not to listen to the Provider and complete the necessary changes for my own transition of care?

The Bible is full of those who have shared these same struggles and the Good News is: That Same Bible has the answers of how to clear out and go forth in the transition. How? Thru the Care found in all the Love within it. And it all begins with these verses:  Deuteronomy 6:5 - thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mightLuke: 10:27 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. Simply Put when you transition to Loving God with all your heart & soul your mind goes thru a transition of care to walking in the same LOVE He has given you full of mercy, forgiveness, patience, and so on. Which is why in turn it fulfills the law and word of the prophets. Why? You see, no longer is the Law a task master but, the Truth is revealed and out of Love you serve thru obedience & love begets Love. When you operate in spirit of Love you will automatically go forth in His transition of care for you and then and only then can you share with your neighbor. In Love there is no desire to kill, steal, commit adultery, kick God to the curb or do yourself harm.

Now, how do you know if you are stuck in a Rut? Ask yourself are you unhappy or even miserable, stressed out, depressed, eating garbage trying to find comfort, grumbling and complaining to anyone who will listen? Is life feeling stagnant? If your answers are yes, lemme tell ya, you are in a Rut and Love is struggling to get unstuck and come forth. If we will but listen to the recommendations of our Provider, Jesus the transition of care Will begin and Love will break thru and carry you up and into all you can be.
One area I took two steps back was in what I am putting in my mouth, Food wise.

Putting on Armor

Morning. There are times Life can take you into a slump. The last few days did just that to me. Just seemed each way I turned was a hard bump in the road. My emotions were swinging and hard as “I” tried to my attitude was not rising up to the situations. Well, not in a good way anyway. Then I got up this morning turned to Ephesians 6:5-18 and as I often say, ” God is on time all the time”!   Once again The Word giving me the Words that I needed to apply to get me Up and Over it all. So today, I share these verses, cause I suspect for some of you this Word could be right on time for you too. smile

Bondservants, (workers/employees) be obedient to those who are your masters (bosses) according to the flesh, with respect, in sincerity of heart, as to Christ; 6 not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart, 7 with goodwill doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men, 8 knowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free.
9And you, masters (bosses), do the same things to them (employees), giving up threatening, knowing that your own Master also is in heaven, and there is no partiality with Him.
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might
11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, then stand strong!
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;           16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints
May you all have a Blessed Day!  I’m off to work to be the Best I can be with sincerity of heart and in FULL ARMOR reminding myself if I feel myself getting down, discouraged, my attitude shifting to a bad attitude… STOP!  The read or listen to these verses to see  what piece of my armor did I take off?  Put it back on and Praying always for guidance of how to handle whatever it is like my Lord Yeshua would do. Cause letting the devil get me down sure didn’t help one darn thing, it only took me further down in the sinking quick sands of darkness, my tongue rattled off words that I wish I could take back but instead all I could do was say, ” I’m Sorry for my bad attitude”  Praise God those I was complaining and babbling off to Love me and accepted my apology.
Shalom!
