As you celebrate mankind’s earthly Father’s, don’t leave out Our Father, Creator. Smile
Without Him there would be no Us. Without Him the world would not be. (for all kinds of reasons) Without Him there would be no Love as He is the originator of Love. The true Love of a Father of which He shows us daily…. ” if we allow Him too.” It is our Heavenly Father who Loves us unconditionally and we can rest in the Truth He will be there for us whenever we need him.. even when we think we are not worthy or He doesn’t want to have anything to do with us. That could not be further from the truth. As a Loving Father His desire is that we return to Him that He might Love us up and show us how Love works, how it creates Peace, Joy, and a wholeness within our hearts. How it dispels darkness with it’s Light. How if you don’t have earthly parents you still have parents in the Kingdom of God. So today, spend a little time with ” The Father” and share all the attributes of the Love He shares and breathed in US…his earthly children. To God, my Father, Happy Father’s Day, DAD! Thank you for showing me LOVE is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
To ALL earthly fathers today, HAPPY FATHER’s DAY! And may your day be filled with the joys of Love between you and your offspring.
For those who don’t have earthly Fathers in their lives for whatever reason. In these cases we should remember to honor those who have passed on or that represent that role in your life, whoever fulfilled that role. That person may even be your Mother who has carried both roles of Mom and Dad in your life. In defining a Father it is typically by the role played as a Parent: The role is all designed to enrich his/her own life and the lives of the children. When these roles are understood and pursued with determination, the child and parent are blessed. I know, I know many are saying but, a Mom is not a Dad. This is true in the physical sense of the word and in some aspects in the way a Father loves, as male and female are designed and do love different than one another. However, Many Moms have had to learn to love like a Father that they might raise healthy children in a single home. Just as many Single Dad’s must learn to love and be Mom’s to their children. In my opinion, we should have “Parents Day” and honor our parents together or if only one.. that one whoever that may be. Their are sisters who have raised their siblings, adoptive parents, step Dads, or maybe it was your teacher, coach, or pastor that fulfilled that role, or a neighbor. Be sure to reach out and say Thank You to whomever that was.
Think about it Who played a parental role in your life? Was it a Mom or a Dad role? Was it one person or more than one?
Okey Dokey, I think I have said enough. Have a Great Father’s Day!
Shalom!
